Yoga for Pickleball
Yoga for Pickleball is one of three projects being developed and operated by Make Afrika a Better, in partnership with AJ Spots Park, located in Bonsuoku, near Senya Beraku in the Central Region of Ghana.
Currently, we have access to one dedicated pickleball court and two makeshift pickleball courts set up on the floor of our partner multi-purpose gym. Our grassroots pickleball initiative focuses on introducing and developing the sport within the Bonsuoku community, particularly among young people.
We have a 3–5 year pickleball development plan that will include recreational play, interschool competitions, local leagues, and international competitions. We would like to again thank our main pickleball sponsor, NSPIRE Bermuda, for their support in supplying paddles, balls, and certified instructors. The future potential for this project is bright and amazing.

Afro-Jits Sports Apparel sponsored the pickleball nets, rebounder, shorts & T'shirts for the event, thanks for the support.

The 2 make-shift courts were marked out on top of the gym floor and worked well as a playing surface for the event.

The youngsters and our event staff enjoyed the day of gaining more pickleball knowledge, more experience and yet mostly having fun.

The Yoga application has many benefits for the body & mind to help in the development of more balanced youn people.

Yoga not only benefits their holistic balance, its strengthens the young competitors as we sharpen them for future international competition.

Here are the 20 paddles, 100 pickleballs and 5 rolls of court tape donated by NSPIRE Bermuda, thanks again for the support and check out their site at nspirebermuda.com for more info.

After the preliminary match play during the afternoon, we had the finals in the evening on the main court.

Here are the match winners of the event with their coaches. Both doubles team were awarded prizes and hopefully we'll see them again next year to defend their title.

Here we are discussing the rules of the game. Everyone here are first timers, so the education supports the enjoyment and purpose, thus creating more opportunities to grow.
